Nick Hakim (Graduate from my alma mater, Woodrow Wilson Senior High)

I met Nick Hakim at a Wilson workshop for singing and songwriting before he even learned guitar. He tried to get me to sing but I refused. When it came time for us to perform, I hummed along shyly. I doubt he remembers me though. He graduated my freshman year.

This is second to my favorite song

OSHUN (Like the Goddess)

Open Mic Bredrens: Peep this DC Eclat

My friends from Spit Dat just came through with this video "Run Away"!! Brokeballer on vocals, Basic the Bassist on guitar and vocals, Christyles Bacon on guitar! This was filmed at Howard and where I used to work: Busboys and Poets in Takoma- a place where all cultures collide, and politics and art go hand in hand!

Convinced one of my best friends to perform at Spit Dat. He's also a genius with foreign affairs and Mandarin Chinese. Last year he was my Man of the District candidate when I was a Miss DC contestant. Check him out below: Deuce B.
